Hello everyone! We apologize for the lack of blogs for you to read but our internet connection here is not so great at the moment. At times we haven’t been able to send/receive emails much less get on and write a blog. Poor Nathan is in charge of the YWAM websites. How do you do that with a bad connection? That has been one of our frustrations lately.
We are also still looking for an apartment. Lately we have been putting up notices all over buildings and sending them in to newspapers. Hopefully soon we will find something. In the meantime we are living at the YWAM base with most of our stuff still in storage, and living out of suitcases. We are realizing how frustrating this is and so we hope to find a place we can rent for a long time so we don’t have to keep looking for a new place every year or two. Actually, it would be even nicer to buy our own place if we had the money.
We continue to visit orphanages, baby hospitals, and do our weekly Kid’s Club. Thank you for your prayers and support of this ministry to these kids.

Another Beautiful Day in Perm
September 3, 2006 by admin.
Hello to all our blog readers. This last week we returned from a very long trip by train to Kiev, Ukraine. We had a YWAM conference with people from all over eastern Europe. We had a great time of worshiping together, praying together, and encouraging one another. The stores there even had Oreo cookies so I stalked up on those before our long and tiring train ride back to Perm. Kids are returning from their summer vacations and various camps so the work with children will start back up again very soon. We are still in the process of looking for an apartment to rent so please pray that God brings the right one to us. It’s another beautiful day in Perm and we’re glad to be able to serve here.

We’re here!
August 11, 2006 by admin.
We are so excited to be back in Perm, Russia. Our visas came just in time and we were able to fly out as scheduled. Our flights from Portland, OR to Frankfurt, Germany, and from Frankfurt to Moscow, Russia both went smoothly. We made it through customs without any difficulties and our luggage made it without any damage. Our trip to Moscow was long and tiring but then we had to get on a train for almost 24 hours to get here to Perm. We are now looking for an apartment to rent and looking forward to another year in Russia and all that God has for us. Thank you for praying for our traveling and we would ask you to continue praying for us for health and for an apartment. God bless.

The Johnsons are going back to Russia!!
July 26, 2006 by admin.
We are excited to be going back to Perm, Russia. We miss the kids we work with and our YWAM teammates and friends. I just checked our tracking number on the FedEx website and our passports should get back to us tomorrow (Thursday) morning. Hopefully everything was done right and we have two one-year visas to Russia. Our bags are being packed and last-minute things are being taken care of. Thank you all for your prayers and financial support.

Royal Ranger Camp
July 14, 2006 by admin.
As Nathan and I prepare to return to Russia, we are traveling here and there and everywhere to tell about who we are and what we do. One of these speaking engagements was at the 2006 Royal Ranger Camp in Washington during the 4th of July week. For those who have no clue what Royal Rangers is, it is a program like Boy Scouts only it’s run by a church with more of a Christian emphasis. Over 650 boys and men were in attendance with their campsites spread out over a big piece of land. They met together for special meetings and had activities and competitions throughout the day. Of course I was never involved with Royal Rangers growing up (I was a Missionette), so it was cool to see what went on at one of these camps. Nathan was able to share at an afternoon session about being a missionary in Perm, Russia. Afterwards a young boy came up to us and said that he’s going to be a missionary when he grows up. My heart leaped inside me. The last night of the camp was a special night as the main speaker invited the boys to dedicate their lives to the call to ministry that God had put on their lives. Once again my heart was overjoyed as I witnessed future pastors and missionaries say ”yes” to God. Being a missionary myself I know that it wont always be easy for them. There will be difficult times but it is so worth it. I have seen God’s faithfulness time and time again both in my personal life and in ministry. I can’t think of anything I’d rather be doing and I can’t wait to get back over to Russia.
